Climbing now · Beta invites rolling

The fitness app you'll actually want to post.

Ascend turns every lift, run and meal into elevation on a real mountain — then hands you a weekly recap, PR cards and a year of climbs worth sharing. Progress you can feel, not just another number on a chart.

The problem

Most fitness apps are spreadsheets in a costume.

You log a workout. The bar moves a pixel. The app forgets you tomorrow.

You set a goal. The app pings you to drink water. You uninstall by week three.

Ascend ties every rep, lap and meal to a mountain you're actually climbing. Miss a day, the climber slides. Hit a streak, you punch through clouds.

Ascend weekly recap — a shareable story card, not a spreadsheet row

Ascend

Progress you can see.

One streak. One mountain. Your climb, tracked properly.

Why it spreads

Most trackers are private chores. Ascend is worth showing off.

Four things competitors don't have — and the reason climbers post, invite, and come back.

Share cards

One tap → a card built for your feed

Hit a PR, climb a strength tier, or finish a transformation — Ascend mints a clean 4:5 card, watermarked and ready to post. The recap, the PR, the before/after. Your wins, designed.

A year of climbs

Your whole year, one screenshot

A GitHub-style heatmap of every session — proof of consistency you'll want to show. Plus a weekly recap story every Sunday: volume moved, PRs, elevation gained.

Crews

Text a code, climb as a pack

Six-character invite codes — no link, no friction. Your crew shares a weekly summit, cheers PRs, and nudges the quiet ones. Leagues of 30 promote and demote every week.

Everest → Neptune

Climb real places. Then leave the planet.

Start on Mt Hood, summit Everest, then scale the Burj Khalifa and ride out to Mars, Saturn, Neptune. Pick the climb that fits your story — every rep is altitude.

What you get

A fitness tracker built like a game, not a clipboard.

Every feature feeds the same mountain. No siloed apps for lifts, food, sleep, water — one climb, one number going up.

The climb

Mountain progress, not pixels

Every workout pushes the climber up a real mountain. Hood today, Everest by year two. Visual, not arbitrary — progress you can feel.

Coach

A coach with a personality, not a chatbot

Pick Rae (calm, technical), June (warm) or Atlas (drill sergeant). It reads your last 90 days, then proposes the next move. You accept, edit or reject — it learns from what you ignore.

Today

Today flip card + morning brief

App opens to one card: what to do today. Evening close recaps + primes tomorrow.

Lifts

Per-set logging w/ RPE

Weight + reps + RPE per set. Auto-fill from last session. PR detection baked in.

Compete

Strength-tier leagues + crews

Every muscle ranked by bodyweight strength — Recruit to Apex. Promote / demote. Crews up to 12 climbers.

Plan

Calendar planner that runs your week

Drag workouts + meals onto days. Apple + Google Calendar two-way sync. Notifications at log time, not at random.

Recover

Readiness + a body map that knows you're cooked

A transparent 0–100 readiness score — see exactly why (sleep, HRV, resting HR, yesterday's load). A front/back muscle map ranks every muscle. Coach auto-proposes a deload before you stall.

Form

AI form check from a 6-sec clip

Upload a lift, get 2 specific cues back. “Knee caving on the descent — sit wider.”

Hands-free

Talk your sets, we structure them

“Squat, 4 sets of 8 at 100.” Voice log parses it into sets. No screen-tapping mid-lift.

Fuel

Snap a meal → macros

Photo recognition shows its best guess + alternates + confidence. You confirm, it logs.

Sync

Apple Health + Garmin + Whoop + Oura

Wearables via Terra. Steps, HR, sleep, HRV feed readiness. No double-logging.

Yours

Zero ads · export everything · streak freeze

No data brokers. CSV + JSON export, one-tap delete. Out a day? Spend a freeze, keep the chain.

See it for real

The honest part

9 in 10 fitness apps get deleted by week three. The climb is why ours doesn't.

You've abandoned trackers before — everyone has. Ascend's whole job is to be the one that's actually fun enough to keep open. See your first climb in under a minute.

First tracker I haven't deleted. The climber sliding when I skip is annoying in the way that actually works.

I was running four apps. Now lifts, runs and food all push the same mountain. I check it like a game.

Our crew summit each week is the only reason half of us still train. The Sunday recap is the group chat now.

How it works

Three steps, then climb.

  1. 01

    Pick your mountain

Choose a goal: build muscle, drop weight, run further. Ascend picks the mountain that matches.

  2. 02

    Log fast, log anywhere

10-second workout entry, scan barcodes, talk your sets, tap water. Or let Apple Health do the heavy lifting.

  3. 03

    Climb, share, repeat

Real-time elevation gain. Hit streaks, league up, summit with your crew — then post the recap. Miss a week, the climber slides.

From the maker

I built Ascend because every other tracker forgot me by week three. The mountain is what made me come back — and it's what the beta crew tell us keeps them logging too.

When does Ascend launch?

Beta is live on TestFlight and Google Play internal track. Public launch is rolling out now — join the waitlist for early access plus a 14-day Ascend Club free trial.

What does Ascend do that other fitness apps don't?

Ascend turns training into a climb. Every lift, run and meal moves a climber up a real mountain — Hood today, Everest by year two — while your streak, XP and levels build underneath. Each muscle gets ranked in strength-tier leagues (Recruit → Climber → Summit → Apex) by bodyweight strength, so a lighter lifter competes fairly. You unlock badges at 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180 and 365-day streaks. The climb is the metaphor, the streak is the truth.

Will it work with Apple Health and Google Fit?

Yes. Ascend reads steps, workouts, heart rate, and active calories from Apple Health on iOS and Health Connect on Android. No double-logging.

How much does Ascend cost?

Free forever for core tracking — workouts, nutrition, calendar, streaks, goals. Ascend Club is NZ$12.99/mo (monthly), NZ$119/yr (annual, ~24% off), or NZ$19.99/mo Family (up to 5 climbers). All Club plans include a 14-day free trial.

What's included in Ascend Club?

Your pick of AI coach voice (Rae, June or Atlas), global strength-tier leagues, weekly + monthly challenges, deep analytics with PR projections, premium themes (Aurora, Volcanic, Summit), unlimited crews, higher AI chat limits, and full CSV + JSON export.

Who is Ascend for?

Anyone who wants real, visible fitness progress without another spreadsheet. Lifters, runners, hybrid athletes, beginners returning after a break. Built for iOS, Android, and the web — global, NZ-headquartered.

Can I cancel and delete my data?

Yes. Cancel Club any time from Settings (or via in-app Subscriptions on iOS/Android). Export all your data (workouts, meals, calendar, social) as CSV + JSON. Delete your account in one tap.

Is my data sold or shared?

No. Ascend has zero ad SDKs and zero data brokers. Your training and food logs stay yours — exportable or deletable on demand. Privacy policy lives at /privacy.
